Chinese-style BBQ Pork


Ingredients:

  • 2 pork tenderloin (12 oz. ea)
  • ¼ C soy sauce
  • 1 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tbs honey
  • 2 tsp red food coloring (opt)
  • ½ tsp five-spice powder (substitute with cinnamon)
  • 1 clove garlic

Trim tenderloins of excess fat. Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl, and insert tenderloins. Cover and marinate for at least one hour under refrigeration, preferrably overnight. Remove and drain tenderloins, reserving marinade. Place tenderloins on a wire rack and bake at 350° for 45 minutes (or until done), turning the tenderloins frequently and basting regularly.

Thin slice on a bias and serve as an appetizer, in Chinese fried rice, or Chinese-style noodle soup.
