Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 130 g shortening
- ½ tsp grated orange peel
- ¾ C sugar
- 2 C sifted flour
- 1 egg
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp salt
- 4 tsp milk
Directions
- Cream sugar and shortening, add egg, vanilla, and orange peel.
- Combine dry ingredients and milk.
- Roll dough into halves and refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll ½" thick on a floured board.
- Cut and bake at 375° for 12 minutes.
