Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge

  1. Bring milk to a boil and remove from heat.
  2. Add sugar, salt, chocolate, and corn syrup and stir until dissolved.
  3. Cook covered over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, or until steam washes sugar crystals from the sides of the pan.
  4. Cook uncovered until mixture reaches 234-240° (soft ball). DO NOT STIR.
  5. Add vanilla, peanut butter, and butter and beat until mixture is thick and loses its luster.
  6. Stir in peanuts and ppoon mixture into a buttered 8" square pan. Let stand until firm.
