Pan-Fried Bread
Ingredients
- 2 C cornmeal
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1 C water
- 1 large egg
- 1 C vegetable oil
Directions
- In large bowl combine all ingredients except the oil.
- In frying pan heat half the oil to 350° degrees.
- Using a large soup spoon or ladle, put the batter in the hot oil and fry until done, about 1 - 2 minutes on each side. Add more oil as needed.
- Drain dough on a wire rack and serve hot.
