Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 C butter
- 4 C flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 C sugar
- 5 C oatmeal
- 24 oz chocolate chips
- 2 C brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 oz Hershey Bar (grated)
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 C chopped nuts (your choice)
- 2 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Measure oatmeal and blend in blender or food processor until it is a fine powder.
- Cream the butter and both sugars, add eggs and vanilla, and mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts.
- Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 375°.

- Makes 112 cookies and halves easily.
