Marinated Chicken Breast Strips
Ingredients
- 1-2 lb boned chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tbs sugar
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- ½ C chicken broth
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- ¼ C soy sauce
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbs vinegar
- ¼ tsp white pepper (OPTIONAL)
Directions
- Combine broth and soy sauce with dry ingredients, stirring until well mixed. Add chicken, cover and refrigerate and marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Place chicken and marinade in a 12x8x2" glass baking dish and bake @325° for 10 minutes. You may wish to remove the marinade and continue baking for another 5 or so minutes to "firm" the chicken up. Serve hot with marinade on the side.
Chef's Notes
- You may also wish to leave the chicken breasts whole and grill after marinading. For this, place the breasts on grill over indirect heat and splash the marinade over the breasts as needed until they are firm. Bring your oil bottle and give them a spritz or two during the cooking process.
