Hard-Boiled Eggs
Ingredients
- 8-12 eggs
- 4 qt salted water
Directions
- Bring the water to a gentle boil.
- Pierce the large end of each egg with a push pin and gently lower the eggs into the water. The hole in the shell will allow air to escape during the cooking process.
- Cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Drain and place the eggs in ice water to stop the cooking process.
- Peel under cold running water.
