French Pea Soup
Ingredients
- 140 g bacon lardons
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 170 g carrots, sliced
- 425 g split peas
- 470 ml water
- 950 ml chicken or vegetable stock
Directions
- Sear the bacon and add onions and garlic.
- Add carrots when the onions are soft. Add the peas and cover with chicken broth and water.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with spring onions and fresh herbs.
