Creole Crab Cakes
Ingredients
- 8 oz crab meat (lump white or claw meat)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp dry mustard
- 1 tbs mayonnaise
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- 1½ tsp prepared mustard
- 1½ tsp melted butter
- ½ tsp parsley
- ¼ C bread crumbs
- ½ tsp creole seasoning, or to taste
- vegetable or olive oil for pan frying
Directions
- Add seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, and egg to crab meat until well combined. Take care mixing to avoid crushing larger chunks of crabmeat
- Add bread crumbs a little at a time until the mixture holds together. You may not need to use all the bread crumbs.
- Shape the mixture into cakes and pan fry in vegetable oil or olive oil until golden brown. Serve immediately.
