Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2¼ C flour
- ¾ C sugar
- ¾ C brown sugar
- ½ lb butter (2 sticks)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- ½ C chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
- Melt the butter in a microwave oven.
- Add sugars and blend well, add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each well, then add the vanilla and blend thoroughly.
- Add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until completely combined and smooth.
- Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, chocolate mint chips, and nuts as per your taste.
- Turn cookies out onto a cookie sheet with two tablespoons on a small mound separated from each other by about ½"
- Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 7-9 minutes. Cool on a wire baking rack.
