Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Directions
- Using a stand or hand mixer, beat the butter on high speed for about 3 minutes until creamy and light.
- Gradually mix in confectioners' sugar and cocoa powder.
- Stir in heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes, scraping down the bowl and adding heavy cream as needed to adjust the texture
