  1. Using a stand or hand mixer, beat the butter on high speed for about 3 minutes until creamy and light.
  2. Gradually mix in confectioners' sugar and cocoa powder.
  3. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes, scraping down the bowl and adding heavy cream as needed to adjust the texture
