Chili
Ingredients
- 1½-2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large (14½ oz) diced seeded tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp sugar
- dash oregano
- dash basil
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Brown the beef in a large heavy pot, add the chopped onions and garlic and cook until transparent.
- Add all the other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, adding water as necessary. I usually end up adding about 2 cups of water in all.
