Cheese Grits

Directions

  1. Bring stock to a boil and whisk in grits.
  2. As the stock begins to thicken, gradually add the milk mixture.
  3. Stir continuously as the mixture thickens.
  4. When about ¾ of the milk mixture has been incorporated, add the cheese and stir as it melts.
  5. Incorporate the remaining milk mixture and continue stirring to make sure the grits don’t stick. The grits should be rich and creamy but not too thick.
