Candied Yams (v)

Directions

  1. Place sweet potatoes in a 9x13" baking dish, cover with salt and sugar and sprinkle over top with cinnamon.
  2. Cover with cubes of butter, squeeze the lemon over top and place the rind in with the potatoes.
  3. Sift flour evenly over the mixture and add water
  4. Bake at 400° for one hour, basting frequently.
