Blackened Tilapia

Directions
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium/high heat.
- Use a paper towel to blot the Tilapia filets dry.
- Juice the lime and brush both sides of the filet with a splash of avocado oil and the lime juice
- Dip both sides of the Tilapia into the blackened seasoning to thoroughly coat.
- Add avocado oil to the hot skillet and swirl to coat the pan.
- Add the Tilapia and cook for 5 minutes per side.
- The blackened seasoning will form a dark crust on the filets. Filets are done when it is opaque and flakes easily or internal temp is 145°F
- Serve with lime wedges and garnish with cilantro.
Chef's Notes
- You can use many other firm white fish for this dish, including Mahi Mahi, Catfish, Redfish, Snapper, Halibut, and Trout.
