BBQ Shrimp #4
Ingredients
- 3 lbs head-on shrimp
- ½ lb butter
- 1 C vegetable oil
- 4 bay leaves, crushed
- 1 tbs dried rosemary
- 1 tbs paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp basil
- pinch salt
- 1 tbs minced garlic
- pinch cayenne pepper
Directions
- In a large sauce pan melt the butter and add the vegetable oil. Increase heat to medium high and add the remaining ingredients except the shrimp. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 30 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
- Remove pan from stovetop and place in a preheated 450° oven and bake for 10 minutes.
- Serve in a wide bowl or large plate with lots of the sauce and plenty of French bread
